PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSIGNMENTS

CASINO / MIXED USE COMPLEX - Baton Rouge, LA
Provided a full scope of services to a large gaming company for a $150 million complex that included casino, retail shops, hotel and office buildings. Services included feasibility studies; development of state, local and federal tax reduction strategies and project management oversight (PMO) services. The PMO services consisted of budgeting and cost controls, cost audits, project scheduling, preparation of monthly status reports, and other contract administration duties. The project was completed on time and significantly under budget.

HOSPITAL RENOVATION AND CONSTRUCTION - New York, NY
Provided project management oversight services on a $500 million hospital renovation/ construction project. Services included monthly site inspections; reviews of progress payments to contractors, consultants and vendors; schedule oversight and preparation of detailed project audit.

GOVERNMENT OFFICE BUILDING - Richmond, VA
Provided full-time project team to manage the renovation of the Federal Office Building in downtown Richmond, VA. Services included contract and subcontract administration, scheduling, field management, estimating and negotiating change orders, job cost accounting, and quality control.

SHOPPING CENTER / RETAIL CONSTRUCTION - Various Locations
Provided project closeout services on several retail/shopping center projects in Indiana, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. Services included detailed cost review of both contract and change order work, assessment of project completion, and resolution of punchlist, warranty and disputed work items, and administrative and financial closeout.

COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS / DATA OPERATION CENTERS - Various Locations
Performed numerous assignments for various financial institutions. For MBNA alone, involved in over $800 million in construction projects. Services have included project closeout services, cost reviews, conceptual cost estimating, development of a cost accounting system, property cost segregation services, management consulting and project management oversight. Project locations include Delaware, Ohio and Maine, as well as the United Kingdom.

MAJOR HOUSING COMPLEXES - Various Locations
Administered construction contracts on numerous private, military and government housing projects in various U.S. locations to include Puerto Rico. Analyzed change orders and claims for the USCG on a $10 million family housing project on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Provided schedule and delay analysis services to Marriott Corporation on a $40 million life care/retirement center at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Adkins professionals have extensive experience administering, managing or evaluating the design and/or construction of a variety of physical plant projects: dormitories, recreational facilities, auditoriums, classroom/office space, dining facilities, research/ laboratory buildings, etc. A partial listing of universities served include: U.S. Military Academy, Georgetown, George Mason, Princeton, Neumann College, University of Delaware, Williams College, Gallaudet, Virginia Commonwealth, Inter American University, Hunter College, and University of Staten Island.

INDUSTRIAL / MANUFACTURING FACILITIES - Various Locations
Provided project management services for fast track design/construction projects. Project planning, estimating, scheduling, administration of multiple prime contracts, coordination with ongoing operations, and outage planning. Partial listing of clients include: IBM, Caterpillar Tractor, General Motors, and Department of Energy.

HEAVY CIVIL PROJECTS - Various Locations
Provided resident engineer, quality assurance, project management and/or contract administration services on various types of heavy civil projects including dams, levees, tunnels, roads, mass transit projects, bridges, and major utility contracts.
